Pacing, Endurance & Energy Management

Pacing choices, work-rate control and energy management; conditioning routes remain specialist where required.

Canonical-unit rule: open each canonical Power unit in the declared order. Complete only lessons whose current treatment authorises practice. Evidence, specialist, research, restricted and status records never become self-training merely because they appear in a pathway.

Add this pathway as a starting point
You can remove, reorder or combine its units with any other Powers in Cockpit.

Canonical Power units

Unit 1 · TLU-PWR-017Full supervised tutorial

PWR-017 · Aerobic endurance

The learner completes one supervised constant-power cycle bout inside the prescribed power/cadence band, with time, symptoms, effort and any oxygen-uptake data interpreted separately.

Tutorial mode: supervised

Capability self-practice: Qualified supervision is required for the practical method

Teaching: Full Power-specific tutorial available

Unit 2 · TLU-PWR-018Full supervised tutorial

PWR-018 · Anaerobic work capacity

The learner completes the authorised repeated-cycle test with identical bout and recovery timing, while best, mean and total work plus validity and symptoms are recorded.

Tutorial mode: supervised

Capability self-practice: Qualified supervision is required for the practical method

Teaching: Full Power-specific tutorial available

Unit 3 · TLU-PWR-019Full supervised tutorial

PWR-019 · Respiratory-muscle endurance

The learner completes one supervised set at the provider-prescribed inspiratory threshold with a sealed mouthpiece, full valve-opening breaths and no breath-holding, dizziness or technique loss.

Tutorial mode: supervised

Capability self-practice: Qualified supervision is required for the practical method

Teaching: Full Power-specific tutorial available

Unit 4 · TLU-PWR-020Full supervised tutorial

PWR-020 · Fatigue resistance

The learner completes a provider-set series of handgrip pulses while valid force, time-in-band, errors and decrement are tracked separately.

Tutorial mode: supervised

Capability self-practice: Qualified supervision is required for the practical method

Teaching: Full Power-specific tutorial available

Unit 5 · TLU-PWR-021Full supervised tutorial

PWR-021 · Load-carriage endurance

The learner completes one provider-selected pack-and-route configuration while time, pace, assistance, gait changes, pain and recovery are recorded.

Tutorial mode: supervised

Capability self-practice: Qualified supervision is required for the practical method

Teaching: Full Power-specific tutorial available

Unit 6 · TLU-PWR-022Full research tutorial

PWR-022 · Pacing

This pack supplies a complete fictional card-sorting dataset, so nobody needs to walk, wheel, cycle, race, hold their breath or provoke fatigue. The task is to describe how output, errors, pauses and burden are distributed across equal segments, then compare one predeclared pacing change. A flatter curve is not automatically better, and the pattern cannot diagnose motivation, general endurance, post-exertional illness or work capacity. People with energy-limiting illness, exertional symptoms, rehabilitation needs or an existing pacing plan should use their qualified route; this fictional analysis does not override care.

Tutorial mode: research exploration

Capability self-practice: No operational capability self-practice; research practicum available

Teaching: Full Power-specific tutorial available

Unit 7 · TLU-PWR-023Full research tutorial

PWR-023 · Metabolic flexibility

The learner produces a one-page audit of a metabolic-flexibility study that states the stimulus, population, calorimetry conditions, RER/substrate outcome, comparator, missing controls and claim ceiling.

Tutorial mode: research

Capability self-practice: Research method only; no operational self-experiment

Teaching: Full Power-specific tutorial available

Unit 8 · TLU-PWR-024Full supervised tutorial

PWR-024 · Between-bout recovery

The learner completes two identical supervised cycle bouts separated by one fixed recovery and calculates the fraction of first-bout work restored in the second.

Tutorial mode: supervised

Capability self-practice: Qualified supervision is required for the practical method

Teaching: Full Power-specific tutorial available

Pathway framework

  1. Orient
Read the scope, prerequisites and authority treatment.
  2. Traverse
Open each canonical Power unit in order.
  3. Integrate
Connect permitted lessons without enlarging their claims.
  4. Transfer
Use predeclared contexts and record limitations.
  5. Maintain
Review, retain, retire or seek qualified support.

Pathway completion record

Record which canonical units were opened, which governed lessons were completed, which were explanation-only, and what transfer or maintenance decision followed. Pathway completion does not create validation, qualification or promotion.
