4 · Worked example

See the whole method used once

Scenario

A paper “museum opening” simulation assigns Priya to doors, Luis to exhibits and Chen to guests. A hidden change card says the east door is blocked five minutes before opening.

Walkthrough

  1. Priya reads the goal card and all three write “west entrance open at 10:00 with zones staffed.”
  2. The team records Priya–doors, Luis–exhibits and Chen–guests, with Chen awaiting Priya’s route signal.
  3. Each member teaches back one role and predicts the response to an east-door closure.
  4. The blocked-door card appears; Priya says “east door blocked—use west,” and Chen repeats the guest route.
  5. The score shows all goals correct but Luis expected Priya to move an exhibit barrier, a role mismatch.
  6. The team assigns barrier movement to Luis, reruns with a new card and completes all handoffs without the mismatch.

Result

The team corrects one inaccurate role expectation and completes the second simulation. This shows a shared and accurate model for this paper task, not live-team readiness.
