Answer key

  1. M1: acquisition = (12 - 6) / 12 = 50.0%; delayed retention = (12 - 7) / 12 = 41.7%; novel-task improvement = (12 - 12) / 12 = 0%. The practiced task improved and much of the gain remained, with no supplied novel-task transfer.
  2. M2: acquisition = 50.0%; delayed retention = (12 - 11) / 12 = 8.3%; novel-task improvement = 0%. Compared with matched M1, the pattern is consistent with interference after the closely timed competing task, but one fictional contrast does not prove a universal causal rule.
  3. M3: acquisition = 50.0%; delayed retention = 41.7%; novel-task improvement = (12 - 11) / 12 = 8.3%. Retention matches M1 rather than exceeding it, so these rows do not support automatic sleep enhancement.
  4. M4: acquisition = (8 - 4) / 8 = 50.0%; delayed retention = (8 - 4) / 8 = 50.0%; novel-task improvement = (12 - 8) / 12 = 33.3%. This is the strongest within-case novel-task change, but its different task, device, support and baseline prevent an absolute ranking against M1–M3.
  5. Immediate acquisition is not delayed learning. M1 and M2 have identical immediate improvement but very different 24-hour retention.
  6. No record establishes safe physical execution, rehabilitation benefit, universal movement transfer, a practice dose or permission to continue through pain.

Scoring rule

Award 1 point for each correct acquisition, retention and novel-task percentage across four cases (12 points), 2 points for each correct bounded case interpretation (8), 1 point for identifying M1–M2 as the matched interference contrast and 1 point for rejecting automatic sleep enhancement from M1–M3: 22 total. Passing requires at least 21, M2 retention reported as 8.3%, M3 not called sleep-enhanced and M4 not ranked directly against another device. Any real movement drill, dose, sleep manipulation, pain exposure or rehabilitation instruction receives STOP.

Authority boundary: Titan teaches a complete Power-specific research method because operational capability practice is not currently justified.
