3. L3 contains Sam's disengagement inference, not a fact about Alex. Connection limits and format access are compatible alternatives.
4. Staged L4: Sam asks, ‘Would chat be the best way for you to contribute today, or is another format better?’ This is neutral because it offers correction and does not assume motive.
5. Staged L5–L6: Alex says chat works, that they were trying to stay involved rather than withdraw, and asks that camera-off or silence not be treated as lack of interest without a format question.

Scoring rule

Award 1 each for four classifications (camera-off fact, attributed connection reason, chat preference and Sam's disengagement inference), 1 for a plausible alternative, 1 for the neutral question, 1 for tentative wording, 1 for incorporating Alex's correction, 1 for an evidence-linked confidence update and 1 for keeping the learner's own view separate: 10 total. No claim absent from the fixture is scored.

Authority boundary: A governed step-by-step lesson may be completed independently inside its stated limits.
