Check your work: Calculate and interpret one declared relative-strength ratio

  1. Formula: simple ratio (N/kg) = absolute force (N) divided by body mass (kg).
  2. Case A: 600 / 75 = 8.00 N/kg. Keep the original result: 600 N.
  3. Case B: 600 / 60 = 10.00 N/kg. The ratio is 25% higher than A, but the absolute force is still 600 N; the different denominator caused the change.
  4. Case C: 660 / 75 = 8.80 N/kg. In the same setup as A, force and the ratio are both 10% higher.
  5. Case D: 600 / 75 = 8.00 N/kg. The arithmetic matches A, but the equipment, posture and support differ, so it is not a fair performance comparison.

Scoring rule

For each case, award 1 point for showing the original force, 1 for the correct two-decimal ratio, 1 for the N/kg unit and 1 for a conclusion that respects the setup: 16 points total. Correct arithmetic without the original force or setup is incomplete. The score checks the worksheet, not the person.
